'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View From The Opposition - Notts County

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans said he thought the game on Saturday against Notts County at the New York Stadium was a fantastic Cup tie but thought his Millers side should have won it.

Magpies Manager Keith Curle spoke to Magpie Player after the one-all draw saying he was still glad to be in the hat for the next round.

'I thought we started the game very well,' the Magpies Boss said, 'then I thought it petered out and we struggled to have anything to build off up front which meant we ended up camped in our own half and we had to depend on our defensive capabilities.

'It was a fantastic goal from Yoann Arquin and there was nobody else on that pitch could have scored that goal. It was a controlled volley at the back and an excellent goal and I think it was unstoppable.

'I thought our supporters were excellent.'

Asked if he was bothered about having to replay, Keith said, 'No not at all. Both teams should have some of the injured and suspended back and I think it will be a feisty replay. And, you never know, it might make the television.'
