RUFC - Thanks A Bunch

I'd like to thank Notts County for their decision to call tonight's game off - with no consideration for the travelling fans.

For goodness sakes we are only just over an hour away - surely this decision could have been made before 5pm when most people were setting off?

I understand the covers were taken off at 2pm and have seen photo's of the pitch then - it was never going to be playable.

Mind you, let's not forget this was the same club that allegedly sent the replay tickets to Don Valley.

Will I be travelling there again next Tuesday? Oh, I expect so.....

You're very welcome! Though in Notts County, you thanking the wrong people for calling the fixture off.

Why did they have to wait for the referee to get there before they looked at the pitch? I know that someone phoned up from Rotherham and asked the club if there was a pitch inspection due and they were told 'no, all is well, the pitch is playable.' That was about 4 o'clock. Surely they could have got a local referee to have a look? Because, from what a County fan has told me, there was no way that game would take place

Fair enough Stu. In that case you are correct, the match official has to be taken to task over this - I hope your club, and ours, do something about it
