RUFC - Nards 'We Need To Put The Ball In The Net'

Rotherham United striker Daniel Nardiello says that the team is starting to come together.

After Millers Boss Steve Evans practically re-built the Millers for the start of the new season in their new home Nards now says they are starting to look better.

Speaking after the defeat to Gillingham last weekend, the thirty year old former Barnsley player told David Beddows of The Advertiser, 'We haven`t been consistent so far but we`re still up there and we`re in with a great chance. If we keep performing like we did on Saturday then there is no doubt in my mind that we can stay there.`

Talking about the game with Gillingham, Nards said, ' I've never seen a game like that one. I couldn't believe we didn't get at least a point. They had two shots on target and scored with them both. But, when we can play like we did against the league leaders then it shows how good we are.`

The Millers have three trips next week -firstly to Wimbledon tomorrow, then to the re-arranged replay game with Notts County followed by another long trip away to Bristol Rovers.

'Wimbledon and Bristol are tough places to go,` Nards said, 'but if we can produce something similar to last weekend then we can come away with six points.`
