'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Evans 'It Could Have Been Six or Seven'

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans said his team could have won by a bigger margin this evening at Meadow Lane against Notts County in the FA Cup replay game.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield after the three-nil win, the Millers Boss said, 'The performance was good and we`ve won by three but it could have been six or seven and if there have been any better teams at Notts County this season then someone should point me in their direction.

'When we play like we did tonight we are difficult to deal with though we played better than that against Gillingham and lost. But the manner in which we won was as comfortable an away game in the cup as you are likely to get and I thought the players were excellent and the energy was great.

'I thought we were really at it tonight. We passed it and moved it, our triangle play was great and we opened them up time after time.

'The FA Cup is a magical competition and it`s a good feeling and our fans know it`s magical and we`re just glad we got through.

'Our fans deserve enormous credit because it`s very difficult at this time of year to find money when people work hard all year to give their families a good Christmas. It`s a huge attendance for us away from home and a big praise to our travelling fans.`
