RUFC - Millers Have Contingency Plans

Rotherham United have got contingency plans in case the proposed deal between the Millers and Peterborough for Lee Frecklington falls through.

Millers Chairman Tony Stewart and Posh Director of Football Barry Fry have been in talks over the twenty-seven year old midfielder for some weeks about the loan deal being made permanent in January and there is nothing to say that this won`t happen - although it is understood that there are other clubs interested in the former Lincoln player.

Speaking to Les Payne of The Star, Millers Boss Steve Evans said, 'If the Frecklington deal doesn't get done both the Chairman and I know who I`m going for and it will be somebody as good - you had better believe me.`

It will have to be someone extremely good to take the place of Frecks who, I think, has been outstanding since joining the Millers on loan in October. He is a brilliant passer of a ball and has scored four goals in his nineteen appearances. Personally I hope the deal is done but if not then I trust that Steve Evans will get someone in who will be a crowd pleaser as most of his loanees/signings have been spot on up to now.
