RUFC- Mulls Committed To Millers

Rotherham United defender Johnny Mullins admits that he did enjoy his recent loan spell with Oxford as it got him the playing time he wanted but he is happy to be back in a red-and-white shirt for the Millers.

Mulls joined the Millers in the summer of 2010 from Stockport County and he proceeded to be involved in over eighty games before this season. With the twenty-seven year old's travelling arrangements not being to the managements liking, Steve Evans sent the former Mansfield player out on loan to Oxford but recalled him in November and he has started the six games since his return, stepping up to captain on Tuesday night in the absence of suspended Ian Sharps.

Speaking to David Beddows of The Advertiser Mulls said, 'A couple of months ago I wouldn't have said I`d captain the side again. It`s a bit of a turn-around but football is a funny game. Things get thrown up at you and circumstances arise which you don`t quite understand of agree with. A lot has been made of me going out on loan but whatever has happened has happened now and it`s in the past.

'Before I left it wasn't clicking but slowly it`s come right and everything is going right and long may it continue. Personally, this is the best squad I've been involved in and I can see the potential and hopefully we can achieve what we want to ultimately want to achieve and that`s promotion.`

'As for myself I`m committed to the club and want to be part of where it`s going which I genuinely believe is the right direction.`

Since Johnny's return the Millers have only lost one game, winning four of the six - coincidence? What do you think?
