RUFC - Evans No Complaints Over Red Card

RUFC - Evans No Complaints Over Red Card

Rotherham United had their third player sent-off in the season this afternoon in the loss to Aldershot Town in the third round of the FA Cup.

Icelandic International Kari Arnason saw red after picking up his second yellow card on eighty-four minutes and after the game his Manager Steve Evans told Radio Sheffield that he had no complaints about the situation.

'He's caught the boy late and if I'd been the referee I'd have sent him off.

'The first yellow was for dissent when he kicked the ball off the Aldershot player when the referee, as he did all day, got it wrong and gave it to them. Arni got a little bit frustrated and got booked for dissent.

'The second yellow was a second yellow and I've no complaints.'

Arni will now miss next Saturday's home game against Barnet although Evans did say that he {Arnason) hadn't had a good game so might well have been missing anyway.

The other red cards for the Millers this season have been for Alex Revell and Mitch Rose.
