Rotherham United Nostalgia Society

Rotherham United Nostalgia Society welcome former striker Tony Cunningham as their guest speaker for January.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Tony began his professional football career with Lincoln City in 1979. He moved to Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday, Manchester City Newcastle United, Blackpool, Bury and Bolton before joining the Millers in 1991. He played sixty-nine games for Rotherham scoring twenty-four goals, playing a big part in the Millers promotion from the old fourth division.

He then went to play for Doncaster Rovers and Wycombe Wanderers before hanging his boots up after a spell with Gainsborough Trinity. He played four hundred and ninety five league games scoring one hundred and sixteen goals.

Tony is now living and working in Lincolnshire as a Solicitor.

The meeting takes place at The Green Dragon, Kimberworth on Thursday, 10th January 2013 and begins at 8.30pm.
