RUFC - Raynor 'Claude Is A Leader Of Men'

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says that, if they manage to capture centre-back Claude Davis from his former club Crawley Town he will be a 'big asset` to the Millers.

Agreeing with Evans, his Assistant Paul Raynor told Dom Howson of The Star that the thirty-three year old is a 'leader of men`.

'Claude has got vast experience,` Raynes said. 'He`s a big powerful centre-half, is good in the air and, for a big guy, has a good turn of pace.`

The tall Jamaican has had injury problems this season and had made just twenty appearances, his last start being in Crawley`s three-nil loss to Bournemouth just after Christmas.

Obviously, if Claude does come to the New York Stadium then that will probably be one too many centre-halves with the rumours being that skipper Ian Sharps is to leave the club.
