RUFC - Raynor Says Team Enjoys Playing At Home

Rotherham United Assistant Manager Paul Raynor refutes any suggestions that the Millers prefer to play away from the New York Stadium.

'There is nothing to suggest that the players prefer playing away from home,` Raynes told The Advertiser. 'We look forward to playing at home and so we should but we know we need to improve the results at home and that we shouldn't be getting beaten by the likes of Wycombe, Barnet and Rochdale. That needs to improve.`

The fans let off a bit of steam after the recent defeat to Barnet at the New York Stadium with boo`s ringing round the fast emptying stands at the final whistle which Paul says, 'Our support at home is magnificent but the fans were entitled to boo.`

The Millers have actually won fourteen games this season, nine of which have been at the New York Stadium while eleven of the losses have also been at home. The only draw at home was in the FA Cup game against Notts County which the Millers went on to win the replay.
