'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Evans 'Lionel Has Future With Millers'

Rotherham United Winger Lionel Ainsworth has been sent out on loan to fellow League Two side Aldershot Town to get match fit.

Lionel joined the Millers in the summer from Shrewsbury Town but hasn't played many games due to a shoulder injury.

But now, his manager Steve Evans says that the twenty-five year old is raring to go.

'The lad is now desperate to be playing and I have listened to his request for that to happen so he's gone out to get some first-team competitive action,' the Millers Boss told the Official Site. 'But that is the only reason I've sanctioned the loan because he certainly has a future with the Millers.'

Lionel has been back training with the Millers squad and has played a few reserve games but it's important that he gets some match time in 'proper' footballing conditions and let's hope he comes back and can help Rotherham get promotion.
