'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Skipper 'We Want New York Bouncing'

Rotherham United skipper Johnny Mullins says that the players are all hurting as much as the fans after the result on Saturday.

The players and management have had a meeting, which is nothing unusual, with everyone having their pennyworth.

Speaking to MillersPlayer today, Mulls said, 'We had an open air meeting and we spoke at length about what needs to be done. We have meetings all the time where people get things off their chest so it wasn't a crisis meeting. We are now looking to implement what we said and take it into the games.

'We all want the same things and the ultimate aim is promotion. We're looking for a response on Saturday against Northampton and we want to give people a joyful weekend. We've all been miserable these last couple of weekends and I understand the fans are frustrated but so are we.

'We want as many fans as we can there on Saturday and to get New York Stadium bouncing.

'I'm pleased to be back and it's an honour to be captain of a club like this and I want to be captain of a promotion winning side.'

After the Millers fans taking over Radio Sheffield's Football Heaven they've all had their say so I'm pleased that Johnny has come out and had his say - is it time for the other players to speak out too?
