RUFC - Evans Hopes Lester Has A Stinker!

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans is hoping that Chesterfield`s Jack Lester doesn't do what he often did last time he started against the Millers - score a hat-trick.

The veteran striker is looking for a rare start this afternoon at the New York Stadium and he`s already scored nine goals this season and has always seemed to be a thorn in the Millers side, although I think it will be a surprise to most Millers to learn he`s only scored seven goals against us in his nineteen years as a professional. Of course it`s not only his scoring that you have to be wary of, he`s not a bad footballer either!

Speaking to the Official Site about the thirty-seven year old striker, the Millers Boss said, 'Jack Lester will be scoring goals when he`s sixty-seven. He`ll be going down the beach with his hankie on his head and someone will ask him for a game and he`ll be the best player on the pitch. He was born to score goals.

'I don`t know him personally but coming from people who have worked with him and from what I've seen watching him over the years, he`s an excellent professional. I just hope he has a stinker on Saturday!`
