RUFC - Raynor Delighted With Noble's Performance

Rotherham United's Assistant Manager Paul Raynor thought David Noble had a good game on Saturday.

Since joining the Millers after being released by Exeter City in the summer, David has had a pretty much stop-start season due to injury and personal problems. He had a long lay off from mid-October until the end of last month when he came off the subs bench and scored his first goal of the campaign followed by another goal the week after in the three-one win over Northampton. Unfortunately, in his next game at Burton he got two yellow cards so was sidelined again for a game.

He was actually my Man of the Match on Saturday against Chesterfield with Paul Raynor telling MillersPlayer, 'He's a technically gifted footballer and he's very creative which we have him in the team for. We anticipated that we'd get a lot of the ball on Saturday and it was good that David was on the ball a lot and we were delighted with him. Having worked with him before, we know what qualities he's got and let's hope he can continue to play in that vein.'

Personally, I believe he stood out amongst the rest at the start of the season and has been the 'missing link' we've been looking for.
