RUFC - Warney Takes Positives From Reserve Draw

Rotherham United Development Coach Paul Warne says that there were a lot of positives to be taken from the Reserve draw with Grimsby yesterday afternoon.

In charge of yesterday's game were Warney and Andy Dibble and speaking to MillersPlayer after the game Warney said, 'You've got to think that we only travelled back from Bristol last night and some of those players played plus Mickey O'Connor has been suspended so has been lacking in game time so it was crucial to get him the ninety minutes. We also got sixty minutes from Craig Morgan who's been out for four and a half months which was good. I think the pro's put in a good performance though they tired towards the end but the travelling and not getting home until 2am didn't help. I think Dan Rowe played well again at the back and he's improving all the time and he seems mature above his years.

'I was disappointed with the result and we didn't really have the cutting edge I hope for up front and we missed a few chances.'

Asked if we were likely to see Warney and Andy 'The Bear' Dibble on the touchline again, Warney said, 'I hope not. All I do is tell him to sit down. I don't think he realises how big he is. He's like a double American fridge. He stands up and then no-one else can see. I'm more of a sit down and watch the game and stand up and say something when it's relevant. But Dibbs just stands up all the time! I think if we work together again I'll have him sitting at the back of the stand! Anyone who has to be on the touchline with him it's hard work!'
