RUFC - Morgan On The Mend

Rotherham United defender Craig Morgan has been out of action for over four months with a broken bone in his foot but managed sixty minutes of the reserve game last week and has trained every day since, which is good news for Millers Boss Steve Evans.

Speaking to MillersPlayer ahead of the game with York City at the New York Stadium tomorrow, Evans said, 'I think it will be another two or three games before he can actually go for it but he's such a good professional. He was jumping into tackles yesterday and sliding in which is a good sign but let's hope we don't need to play him until he's fully fit.

'Before he was injured he was the best defender outside the Championship which is why some League One clubs wanted to sign him. When Craig got injured I think it surprised him when we still went ahead and signed him when a lot of other clubs would probably have run scared.

'But he wanted to be a Miller and he demonstrated that from the first day he walked in the door. He's incredibly fit now and I've never seen a player work as hard in the last two or three months than Craig Morgan.'
