RUFC - Andy Two Hundred Not Out!

Rotherham United Goalkeeper Andy Warrington will make his two hundredth league appearance this evening at the New York Stadium and who better to make this special appearance than against his former club York City.

Andy, who has twice been Vital Rotherham's Player of the Season, joined the Millers from Bury in the summer of 2007 making his first appearance at Edgar Street against Hereford where he kept a clean sheet. His first home game, at Millmoor, was against Peterborough which ended three-one to the home side.

The thirty-six year old shot stopper, who began his career with York, has been through the wringer in the past with the Millers going through administration, points deductions, not being paid, moving to Don Valley, seeing out three managers before things started to look up moving back to Rotherham and the New York Stadium.

In fact, he was close to leaving the Millers under Andy Scott but Steve Evans was quick to extend his contract at then end of last season. And, although Scott Shearer was preferred by Evans at the start of the season, Andy was ready to step into the breach when an injury to the former Crawley 'keeper, saw the stalwart between the sticks again.

Andy has played twenty-one league games this season, keeping five clean sheets.

All at Vital Rotherham send our CONGRATULATIONS to Andy - and here's to another two hundred league appearances!
