RUFC - The Two Danny's Doubtful For Saturday

Rotherham United striker Daniel Nardiello is a doubt for the Millers game against Southend at Roots Hall on Saturday.

The former Exeter striker was feeling his groin about fifteen minutes from the end of the game against York City on Tuesday night and wanted to come off but Manager Steve Evans said 'no' and he went on to score the all important equaliser.

Speaking to MillersPlayer, the Millers Boss said, 'He'll travel down to Southend with us but we will have to say he's rated at fifty-fifty. I'm not overly hopeful but if there's a chance he'll play because he's a goal scorer.

'It's a niggle he's got with his groin and we kept him on the other night because we thought he might get a chance and thankfully he did.

'He'll be training, probably a light session today, keep him nice and bright tomorrow and then push him almost to the barrier late on tomorrow.'

Midfielder Daniel Kearns has had a scan on a hamstring problem and is a major doubt with Evans saying, 'The scan showed us he's got a grade one strain so it's a minor problem but we have to be fair to Danny and be careful. I think he'll be fine after the weekend.'

Striker Alex Revell appeared to be struggling on Tuesday night and was taken off with fifteen minutes to go. 'It was a touch of cramp,' Evans said, 'so he's fine.'
