RUFC - Let's Work Together

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says now is the time for everybody to stick together.

Speaking in his usual slot in The Advertiser the Millers Boss that in the thirteen games left of the current season every point game is crucial.

After the Barnet loss last month there were those fans calling for Evans' head - although the team were still flying high in fifth place. Strangely those fans went quiet after the Millers won three in a row. Until Tuesday night when a pretty average performance saw York City take the lead at the New York Stadium. Many fans left before the board went up to add five extra minutes so many will have got home still thinking we'd lost. Of course, we all know now that a Daniel Nardiello goal on ninety-four minutes got the point - a scruffy goal but it could well be that scruffy goal and that point that makes the difference come the end of the season.

Speaking in The Advertiser today Steve Evans says he knows every day his team of players are together has to be positive. But he also says those same players need to know that everyone at the club is behind them - which includes us, the fans.

So whether you are going to the two next games, both away from home, or you write on the message boards or social media sites, let us show the team that we want them to win. Sing, shout, encourage at Southend and Oxford; write positive messages on message boards; show the media that we are, as our name implies, Rotherham UNITED.

As the Canned Heat song goes
Together we'll stand, divided we'll fall
Come on now people let's get on the ball
And work together, come on, come on
Let's work together, now, now people
