'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View From The Opposition - Oxford

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans couldn't be anything but delighted with his sides four-nil win over Oxford, who had recently beaten the top two in League Two, and he said he thought it was 'a solid industrious win.'

Meanwhile U's Boss Chris Wilder also had nothing but praise for the Millers.

Speaking to Yellow Player, the former Millers full-back said, 'When you get beat four-nil it's not a nice feeling especially when you're four-nil down at half-time and I'll go out of here hurting tonight.

'I thought we started the game off brightly and it was an end-to-end game and then, in a mad fifteen minutes we find ourselves completely out of the game. We made it a bit easy for them with that fifteen minutes but, to be fair, they've punished us and punished us pretty harshly. They've had four chances - one's a deflection, one's where someone has shown a bit more desire to win it than our defender and we've had just as good a chance but we've not scored. But Rotherham have worked really hard and played really well tonight.

'Looking at the bigger picture, we've played the three top sides and I think Rotherham are the best of the lot and not just because of tonight but in everything they've got. They've punished us and fair play to them because they've got players in that side who shouldn't be anywhere near this league. And, I think Steve will be a bit disappointed that they aren't a bit higher up in the league because that is a Championship Club with Championship players.'
