RUFC - Evans Praise For Morgan

Rotherham United defender Craig Morgan started his first game since leaving the pitch just before half-time with an injury at the New York Stadium against Cheltenham in November.

Speaking to MillersPlayer after the three-nil defeat this afternoon, Millers Boss Steve Evans said, 'We thought long and hard about Craig right up until this morning but I thought he was outstanding today after he`s been missing for so long.

He put his body on the line and I was pleased with him today. He`ll probably not be able to walk for two days so we`ll look after him and give him a rest and get him ready for Saturday.`

The twenty-seven year old Welsh International joined the Millers in August after being released by Preston North End. Having become an instant hit with the fans he suffered a foot injury in the game against Cheltenham at home in November. While still out with the injury the club offered him an eighteen month extension to his contract which he duly sighed.

All I see Steve Evans has said that Craig was 'outstanding' today I probably wouldn't go that far but, in my eyes, he did little wrong.
