RUFC - Nards 'Revs Unsung Hero Of Team'

Rotherham United`s top scorer Daniel Nardiello says that his strike partner Alex Revell is the 'unsung hero` of the Millers team.

Speaking to The Star the thirty year old, said, 'Alex is the unsung hero of our team and played a massive part in our season. Although he has not scored loads of goals, he does a lot of stuff off the ball and creates chances for the rest of the team. If Alex plays well, then the team does and I don`t think I would have scored a lot of my goals if Alex wasn`t playing.

'He brings so much to the team and his strength, flick-ons and work rate is crucial to us. Alex is fantastic to work off. He`s one of the best in the league for doing what he does.`

There have been some mumblings amongst the fans about Revs of late, some saying that he`s not been pulling his weight - which personally I find a bit ridiculous. OK he might not have been getting as many goals as Nardiello but then how many did Tom Pope score when him and Alfie played for the Millers? I honestly think Alex Revell always gives one hundred per cent and I also think his positioning off the ball has improved this season.
