RUFC - Evans 'Revs Been Sensational'

Rotherham United striker Alex Revell was named Rotherham United Player of the Year on Saturday and Millers Boss Steve Evans can't have been more delighted for the twenty-nine year old.

Speaking to MillersPlayer the Gaffer said, 'He has been simply outstanding.

'At the start of the season Alex was given the opportunity to go to a good League One club and he told me that he believed in his ability and he believed in everything we were about and he wanted a promotion on his CV. He also identified certain things that he wanted us to work with him with.

'He's been sensational and deserves every bit of that trophy that sits on his cabinet at home.'

Revs joined the Millers on the last day of the summer 2011 transfer window from Leyton Orient scoring two goals in his debut for Rotherham. He's appeared in more than eighty games for the Millers, forty-six of them this season and although not a prolific goalscorer, Steve Evans has stuck with the former Brighton forward.

Well Done Revs!
