RUFC - Collin Here To Push Shearer

Rotherham United`s third signing of the summer goalkeeper Adam Collin says that he has joined a club that`s going places.

Speaking to MillersPlayer the twenty-eight year old said, 'I`m just pleased to have got it all finalised and I`m delighted to be here.

'The Stadium is fantastic and I can`t wait. I believe there`s a good fan base here and hopefully I can come and show them what I`m capable of doing.

'I spoke to the Manager and his Assistant during the off season and then I got my agent involved. I`ve had interest from other clubs in League One and the SPL but I decided to come here because it`s a club on the up and the set-up here (the NYS) and the training ground, well it`s just a great place to come.`

Asked about his background, Adam said, 'I was at Newcastle when I was a junior then was a semi-pro for five years with Workington before having four years with Carlisle where I played at Wembley twice and it was a good experience there.`

Asked about next season, the tall 'keeper said, 'I`ve come here to push Scott Shearer and I`m sure he`ll push me and we`ll battle it out which is good for both of us. Hopefully I can get in the team and help the club and I don`t see why this club can`t push for another promotion although there are going to be some tough games.`
