RUFC - Collin Wants To Be Number One

Rotherham United goalkeeper Adam Collin says he will be doing his best to become the 'number one` ahead of Scott Shearer.

After not getting his contract renewed with Carlisle at the end of last season, Adam plumped for the Millers after attracting attention from Scotland and other League clubs.

Speaking to The Star, the twenty-eight year old said, 'It`s going to be up to Scott and I to battle it out and to play well in the friendlies and then the Manager will decide who starts the season.

'I want to play at the highest level I can and I am confident of my own ability.`

Adam had a run of one hundred and forty-six starts for the Cumbrians before their policy of goalkeeping rotation and helped them win the Football League Trophy at Wembley in 2011.

What do you think - will it be difficult for him to take the 'number one' jersey from Scott Shearer?
