'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Chairman Says 'One Or Two' Yet To Come

Rotherham United Chairman Tony Stewart says he wouldn't be surprised if there wasn`t 'one or two` new signings before the start of the new season.

Speaking to The Star, the Millers Chairman said, 'We have got options and discussions are on-going.`

The Millers have signed a few new players over the summer with Mr Stewart saying, 'It is a lot easier to bring players in when you've had the success that we have had, got an ambitious manager and a new stadium. It`s nice to be signing players who we probably wouldn't have got last season.`

Michael Tidser is the latest player to arrive at the New York Stadium and with the Millers Manager Steve Evans expressing his desire to fetch in a new striker the name of Jack Redshaw of Morecambe has been bandied about lately. But, true to form, the Gaffer isn't saying who or from where until the deal is done.
