RUFC - Gaffer Wants Plenty Of Options

Vital Rotherham on: facebook

Vital Rotherham on: twitter

It has been suggested that the Millers have a profusion of midfielders as we go into League One next season but Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says there will be room for everyone.

Michael Tidser swelled the ranks yesterday to join, what seems to be an already overcrowded midfield of Kari Arnason, Michael O`Connor, Mark Bradley, David Noble, Lee Frecklington, Daniel Kearns, Mitch Rose and Ben Pringle - although, of course, we do know the likes of Prings and Bradley don`t actually always play in the middle.

But, speaking to The Advertiser after signing Tidser yesterday, the Gaffer said, 'You can break it down and we have Kari Arnason playing at centre-half, Tidser alongside Noble with O`Connor and Frecklington in the central midfield area. And, there will be some weeks when we will play three in there so it`s always good to have that option as well as having a balance.`

I can understand what the Gaffer is saying here but I just hope we aren't going to go back to putting 'round pegs in square holes`.
