RUFC - Evans 'Morgs Will Lead By Example'

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans chose Craig Morgan to be his captain because he 'leads by example'.

Last season the Millers had first Ian Sharps and Johnny Mullins wearing the captains armband - Sharpsy playing twenty-seven times before becoming out of favour and going on loan to Burton Albion who he eventually signed for in June and Mulls taking over from Sharps on his return from his loan spell with Oxford but, as we know, he left the Millers before the season began.

Speaking to The Advertiser the Millers Boss said, 'I picked Ian Sharps and Johnny Mullins for the right reasons - and I've done the same with Craig.

'I pick my captains by people who lead by example and probably don't always want the limelight

'Craig is an important player for us and someone whose opinion I respect and he's the type, over the season, who will give me everything he has got.'

I think Morgs is best for the job as skipper and am pleased he's got the nod this season.
