'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Evans 'We Are A Little Frustrated'

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says that the last two games have been at a level he always thought was in the group of players he has.

Speaking to Rob Staton of Radio Sheffield the Millers Boss said he believed there was more to come from the group.

'We're on a step ladder of improving. Every so often you fall off that step ladder but it's where you get back on it. Do you get back on at the level you've been performing at or do you have to start on the bottom rung again. I think, as a group, we are at the level where you get back on at the level you've been performing at.'

The Millers are in sixth place in League One at the moment and the Gaffer says he thinks the performances they've been putting in should have seen them higher. 'Ultimately you have to put the ball in the net and keep it out at the other end to get points.

'We are a little frustrated but it's a real strong league and there are probably eight or nine teams all challenging for those top six places. I think the only certainly at the end of the season is that Wolverhampton Wanderers will be champions and all the others will be fighting for second to sixth.'

I know the Boss has said he's frustrated but really, head and heart, could you have seen us, little Rotherham, in a play-off place in League One, fighting off 'bigger' clubs for our Manager, this time last year?
