RUFC - Bury To Ask To Keep Nards?

Rotherham United and Bury are in talks over a permanent move to Gigg Lane for striker Daniel Nardiello.

Nards, who is in his second loan spell with the Shakers, the first being when he was with Blackpool in 2009, joined the Millers in May 2012 and was Rotherham`s top scorer last season with nineteen goals in all competitions.

This season Daniel made ten appearances for Rotherham scoring five goals while receiving a red card in his first game after the final whistle for arguing with the referee.

The thirty-one year old went out on loan to Bury in November and has played seven games for them so far finding the net four times, the last time being in yesterday`s home game to Scunthorpe in a two-all draw (coincidentally, former Miller Chris Sedgwick also scored for the Shakers).

Speaking to the Bury Times, the Shakers new Manager David Flitcroft said, 'Daniel Nardiello is a David Flitcroft-type player and certainly the kind of player I am trying to bring to the club and I want to work with Danny and he knows that.`

Nards loan spell is due to end on 1st January but Millers Boss Steve Evans has already hinted - well, more than hinted - that we won`t see the striker in a Millers shirt again.
