RUFC - Millers Boss Coy About Dicko Bid

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says he is 'desperate' to add to the squad.

'We are desperate to add quality to our squad,' the Millers Boss said, 'and we are trying to make inroads and Paul Douglas is working hard behind the scenes too.'

Rob Staton of Radio Sheffield asked if the Millers had put in a bid for former loanee striker Nouha Dicko.

'I wouldn't know who we've bid for and who we've not,' Evans said. 'I've put a list of players together and if the Chairman deems it would need a bid to attract a player then I'm sure he's done it.

'I've read press reports saying that there's six or seven clubs interested in Nouha Dicko so let those six or seven clubs come to an agreement with Wigan if that's appropriate.

'Wherever Nouha plays his football he's a young man I enjoyed working with and whether we work with him from here-on-in I suppose determines on whether he joins us or not. I think if it was like-for-like he'd walk here.'
