RUFC - Millers 'So Close' To Getting Dicko

Vital Rotherham on: facebook

Rotherham United Manager were very close to getting striker Nouha Dicko at the weekend but just missed out to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Millers Boss Steve Evans spoke to Radio Sheffield this evening saying, 'We had a fee agreed with Wigan and Nouha had a decision to make.

'The lad kept us informed all the way through the process and he's decided to join a club with good people. He's an outstanding young striker and he decided that Wolves was the way to go for him.

'He is a very nice young man and we wish him well.'

I think we'd all heard that the striker was on the way to join the Millers on Saturday so when we were getting texts saying that the striker was watching the Wolves game - a team who will have money because being relegated from the Championship last season they have the 'parachute payment' which, whether you agree with that or not, will help them - I think we all knew then that he would be going to the Molineux Stadium. Like the Gaffer I also wish Nouha well.

It's got nothing to do with how much money we have or haven't got it's to do with him coming to a much bigger club, there were other bigger clubs than Rotherham after him - thats why you lost out! But he chose the best.....SIMPLE!

Fair enough Johnwolf - I just hope he doesn't find himself sitting on the bench more than he's actually on the pitch

I actually think Dicko will play a lot for a Wolves. Don't think he'll be sitting on the bench, given that our other strikers aren't exactly on any sort of form.

Come on then you moaners. Alex Revell or Mario Balotelli? I know who I'd rather have.
