RUFC - Millers Boss After Today's Win

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans said that it is very hard to win away from home in this league.

Speaking after the three-nil win the Millers Boss told Radio Sheffield, 'This is always a hard place to come but when we work as hard as we`ve worked today we normally win. It`s very difficult to win away from home and it`s a good win for us.

'We work every day at passing and moving the ball around the final third and pulling defenders around and the boys executed that really well in the first half and I think if we`d got our rewards then it really could have been damage done at half-time. For the second half we just said keep the ball, there was no need to force the play, and when we get in good positions see what we can do and I think they carried that out to the letter.

'We are just trying to embrace League One and trying to stay in the round-up. We know the competition is really tough but we spoke to the players long and hard before Crewe and said that this is the second part of the season and its then when we came alive last year so we know we`ve got that in the locker. We've got a lot of players with a lot of character and we`re trying to sign not only good players but those who have the right type of character.

'And what a following today. All the way from Rotherham on a poor winters day and thanks to them because their vocal support throughout the game was fantastic. And when you can give them a performance like that to sing about then it`s a good day all round.

'We can go home tonight a proud Rotherham United.`
