RUFC - View From The Opposition - Crawley Town

At the end of Saturday's game against Crawley Town at the New York Stadium Millers Manager Steve Evans was thankful to come away with a point.

Meanwhile Crawley Manager John Gregory was devastated when the Miller got the second equaliser almost a minute after the five minutes added time had ended.

Speaking to BBC Surrey after the two-all draw, Gregory said, 'I was anticipating the referee to blow his whistle before the goal and we're looking at our watches and those five minutes of time added on had gone and in the extra fifty seconds the referee added they (Rotherham) go an equalise.

'We dealt with everything Rotherham threw at us until that last couple of seconds. We had opportunities to go three-one up and then the game is over but I look back on the ninety minutes and there are so many good things that we can build on and we are slowly improving week after week. There's a great resilience running through the team, a great togetherness and there was some good individual performances and collectively as a team.

'I'm disappointed we didn't go away with all three points but am delighted in the way we played and went about our jobs.'

Perhaps, Mr Gregory, if you hadn't spent a lot of time time-wasting from minute one of the game then there wouldn't have been so many minutes added on at the end?
