RUFC - Raynor 'Keeping Our Feet On The Floor'

Rotherham United's Assistant Manager Paul Raynor looked back at last Saturday's win over Stevenage knowing that the Millers hadn't played well but still won.

Speaking to Radio Sheffield Rayns said, 'I think that's the first time we came away from a game saying that the performance wasn't great but we managed to get three points from it.

'But we've certainly had the boot on the other foot when we've played very well and come away with a draw or nothing. Yes, we'd all like to play perfectly well and win the game but football isn't like that. And we'll certainly take a win how ever it comes but we are also aware that the performance levels need to improve.

'Saturday, in many areas of the game, wasn't good enough but it was absolutely fantastic that we did show some grit and determination and came out on top. And those could be the games that make all the difference come the end of the season.

'We're in the nitty gritty part of the season now and in a fantastic position so we are well aware that we're doing OK but we will be keeping our feet on the floor and, I know it's an old cliché, but we will be taking each game as it comes.'

I don't think you can do any more than 'take each game as it comes' now. We did that last season and look where that got us and being in seventh place we are certainly looking upwards and now downwards as we go into this weekend.
