'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View From The Opposition - Carlisle

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans said that his team deserved the late winner on Saturday against Carlisle United because they had been the dominant side throughout the match.

But Carlisle Boss Graham Kavanagh was disappointed that his team lost to the late goal.

Speaking on Carlisle's Official Site the Cumbrians Manager said, 'I didn't think we were anywhere near good enough in the first half but a bit of sublime skill from Lee Miller got us back into it.

'We looked an inferior side in the first half and that's really disappointing. The pitch wasn't great and they (Rotherham) went long and direct and were looking to get behind us and turn us.

'But I thought we were the better side in the second half and passed the ball better but didn't have that cutting edge.

'You have to give Rotherham credit because they have their style and they ask questions. The first goal was a comedy of errors for us and we just didn't defend properly for the second. They are a side playing with a lot of confidence and are at the right end of the table. The momentum is with them and I think it showed.'
