RUFC - Evans 'I Want To Win Every Game'

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans has quite a connection with Saturday's opponents Peterborough. His family live there and his children were schooled there while his children's grandparents also live there and are Peterborough fans.

'I've got a lot of connections,' the Millers Boss admitted, 'I know their Chairman Darragh MacAnthony and of course Barry Fry and Darren Ferguson who I think is an outstanding Manager.

'I first became aware of Darren when he was a midfielder at Wrexham and he was a fantastic ball player. Of course he was in the same team as Andy Dibble. Dibble we could find a way past but we could never find a way to pass the ball round Ferguson. Since Darren became the manager of Peterborough, because I knew Barry Fry, we've had the odd little drink together and meal together. He's a manager who's proved time and time again when he has to win football matches he does it.

'We know it's going to be really tough for us on Saturday and not only Peterborough the next eight and nine days will be tough when you consider Peterborough, Brentford and Bristol City. And I want to win every football match we play. My boyhood love is Glasgow Celtic but if it was Rotherham United against Glasgow Celtic there could only be one winner for me and it's the red and white shirts.'
