RUFC - Evans Pleased To Get Three Points

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans can't have been anything but delighted with his hundredth game in charge this afternoon as the Millers go thirteen games unbeaten and move up to fourth place in League One.

'London Road is a very tough place to come,' the Millers Boss told radio Sheffield after the one-nil victory, 'and we are pleased to come away with the three points.

'The biggest chance comes in the second half and you can look at that two ways. Does Nicky (Adams) miss a big chance for us, well yes he does. But does their goalkeeper keep them in the game, yes he does. He's made a terrific save.

'I think we've come and shown a terrific away performance. We've put in a lot of effort and a lot of commitment but we don't gloat. It's another three points on the road. As I've said before it's really tough to get into those play-offs and we are still fighting to be in them. There were some managers in midweek doubting us again well let them keep doing that. We will keep working hard and we'll see where it takes us.

'It was a big victory against a super team who I think are terrific in a number of areas

'As a football club today we've had a fantastic following and they've really got behind the team and they deserve enormous credit.'
