RUFC - View From The Opposition - Bristol City

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans said that his team 'showed all the qualities it takes to be an excellent side' after Saturday's win over Bristol City also saying that he thought they had beaten a 'terrific side'.

Meanwhile Robins' Manager Steve Cotterill told BBC Radio Bristol that his side were 'better than them'.

Speaking after the Millers two-one win, the City Boss said, 'I'm a little disappointed that we haven't got something out of today.

'The first five minutes it was our fault we went one-nil down.'

Talking about the 'controversial' free-kick which led to the Millers winner, Cotterill said, 'In all the time I've been in football this has never happened to me before. Frankie releases the ball before he kicks it, he does that quite a lot (Ed Note - always helps, I find!). The linesman has given the decision and it's a poor one for me which has ended up costing us the game. I'm a bit annoyed about it. Frankie's in his box when he releases the ball so it's not handball. And a decision as big as that well when you're giving someone a free shot at your goal, eighteen yards out then it's not too much different than giving a penalty really.

'So I'm very disappointed that we end up losing that game when there's no way we deserved to lose because we were much better than them.'

Maybe Mr Fielding has been lucky in the past then, eh?
