RUFC - Mitch Pleased To Be On The Mend
Rotherham United midfielder Mitch Rose was delighted to be back in action after eight months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
The nineteen year old had been doing well in the second string and had made a handful of appearances for the first team last season and signed a new contract during the summer. Mitch scored played in three pre-season friendlies scoring a goal in the two-nil win over Livingston but then came the knee injury which put him out for the season.
After returning on Monday in the five-nil Reserve win over Mansfield Mitch told the Official Site, 'It's been a very challenging seven months especially with the boys doing so well. Although I wasn't expecting to be part of it it has been very frustrating not being able to train.
'I've had to work hard to get in this position and I'm so grateful for all the hard work Denis (Circuit), Warney (Paul Warne) and Mark Stein have done in encouraging me, providing positive support and helping me to get back.'
Saying he took a lot of positives from his hour back in the Reserves, Mitch said, 'I know I lacked a bit of concentration in the second half but to play sixty minutes has left me absolutely delighted.'
