Rotherham United loanee Tom Hitchcock might not have been involved that much in the Millers promotion push but he told the Official Site that he is still enjoying his time here in South Yorkshire.

The twenty-one year old joined the Millers from QPR in January until the end of the season but has only been involved in half a dozen games, so far, but has scored twice.

'I'm loving it here the lads are great and it's great being a part of it. I've not been involved in anything like this before so it's a great experience.'

Tom's first goal came in the three-nil win over Shrewsbury at the New Meadow with his second coming in the six-nil win over Notts County at the New York Stadium and Tom said, 'It was great to score at the New York, it's a brilliant stadium and great atmosphere.

'Of course I would like to play more but I understand that there are some great strikers here and the competition for places is massive. So all I can do is keep working hard in training and take my chances when they come.'

Before coming to Rotherham Tom also had a loan spell with Crewe Alexandra where he scored four goals.

Personally, I think Tom's had a bit of a raw deal since joining the Millers because I've never seen him have a bad game, but do understand that we have a few strikers on the books at the moment.
