'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - View From The Opposition - Wolves

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans had nothing but praise for the second half performance of his Millers team yesterday despite losing six-four.

Wolves Manager Kenny Jackett also acknowledged what a 'fantastic` game it was.

Speaking to Wolves Official Site, Jackett said, The quality of our goal scoring was outstanding and if you get your finishing and goal scoring right it covers a multitude of sins. And that`s what it did today.

'I didn't think we were anywhere near our best and for long periods Rotherham wanted it more than us, particularly at the start of the second half. But we had the finishing quality and were clinical which is a big asset to have.

'Rotherham are a very good team with a lot of forward momentum who keep going all the way through and we did well to beat them.`

The second half you did play well that is when you weren't diving at every little touch trying to get our players booked. Pity that you have to play 90+ minutes and not 30, mind you at three one (should have been at least six) the wolves took their foot off the pedal letting you back into a match were you been given a footballing lesson. We always looked like we had two or three extra gears in us were as you were in top gear. I don't agree with KJ in his assessment of you being the best team we have played! Crawley, Stevenage and Swindon were much better, can't see you winning the playoffs thay should be Preston but you never know miracles do happen!
