Rotherham United took a host of awards at yesterday evenings Star Football Awards.

The Team Of The Year went to Rotherham United after getting into the play-offs in their first season back in League One.

Rotherham United`s Player Of The Year went to midfielder Lee Frecklington who has made forty-five appearances this season scoring twelve goals and taking over as captain when Craig Morgan was injured - and doing a great job of it too.

The Star`s Golden Boot was awarded to Kieran Agard who is the region`s top scorer with twenty-five goals which included him keeping the match ball after scoring a hat-trick recently against Wolves.

The Derek Dooley Lifetime Achievement went to former Millers Manager Tommy Docherty and after receiving the award The Doc commented, 'I have some very happy memories of Rotherham United` and saying he was grateful to receive this award he then went on to say that through his career 'I signed some great players and some absolute rubbish!`

The Star`s Young Player Of The Year went to former Miller Ollie Banks who is now doing great things for Chesterfield.

Other awards went to Chesterfield for winning promotion to League One and to Sheffield United who are celebrating their one hundred and twenty-fifth anniversary while the Blades U21 Coach and former player Chris Morgan was elevated to The Star`s Hall of Fame.
