RUFC - Skipper Would Love To Score At Wembley

Rotherham United captain Craig Morgan is wishing that the game would hurry up and come along.

'You are almost wishing it was here,' the twenty-eight year old defender told Radio Sheffield. 'You train hard and train normal but it's always there in your head that you don't want to get injured. Ultimately you just want it to be walking out at three o'clock and the game be here.'

Paul Walker asked the Millers skipper if he was nervous and he replied, 'I wouldn't say it was nerves, more excitement. Whatever the occasion, whoever's there all good professionals go on that pitch and nothing else matters and you should go out and play your normal game although, obviously you are going to appreciate that you are at Wembley.

'We respect Leyton Orient highly as we did Preston and they will play at one hundred per cent so everybody for us has got to do the same knowing that a little mistake might settle the game which is what we don't want. We know if we deliver a performance like we have this year they Leyton Orient will struggle to cope with us but equally they hold a threat. Their two strikers have scored forty goals between them this year and they are a very good side who have given us two really tough games.

'I'd love to score a goal at Wembley but I'd swap a goal for a win and everybody would like to say A) they've played at Wembley and B) they've scored at Wembley. But, if the worst happens, then nobody can take away what this team has achieved this year. There's not one person who can sit there and say they fully expected it to go like it has. There was hope and belief in the changing room which I'm not too sure other people had. It's been an amazing season.

Asked about his partnership with Kari Arnason, Morgs said, 'We are enjoying it and we feel like we can stop any strikers in the division and we've done that against some of the best this year. Kari is my friend, not just my colleague and partner. I have to be round him if he makes a mistake and I expect him to be around me if I make one which is how our partnership really works.'
