'If It's Football, It's Vital'

RUFC - Evans 'Squad Will Be Stronger Next Year'

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans says there are only positive thoughts going into the game against Leyton Orient on Sunday and, although the focus is on Wembley, they are still working behind the scenes with next season in mind.

'We have a positive attitude,' the Millers Boss told Radio Sheffield, ' we only think about winning and that's all we've thought about for two years.

'The one thing I know whether we win at Wembley or whether we don't then we will start on 9th August a much better team and a much better squad than we concluded with this season. And there's not a lot of teams can think that.'

Asked if there are players he would like to bring in to bolster the squad who are waiting to see what league the Millers start in next season, Steve said, he believed so saying, 'There's always going to be some players who want to play at a certain level and I've got nothing but respect and admiration for a player who says 'I'll take less money to play in the Championship than I would to play in League One'.

'We will be keeping the bulk of what we've got but the one's we are targeting it won't make any difference whether we are in the Championship or League One.'
