RUFC - Evans 'Rumours Are Agents Talk'

RUFC - Evans 'Rumours Are Agents Talk'

Rotherham United Manager Steve Evans seems a bit 'fed up` with agents connecting the name of Rotherham United with every Tom, Dick and Harry they have on their books who want to move on.

Recently the names of Gwion Edwards of Swansea City and Brett Pitman of Bournemouth have been linked with the Millers which the Gaffer has denied having an interest in.

'We get linked with a lot of players we don`t sign,` Evans told The Star saying that although he admired Pitman there had been no negotiations between his representatives and the club.

Going on to talk about the Swansea winger Edwards, Steve said, 'It`s just agent talk and it`s frustrating when some agents make links between players and clubs which are a million miles from the truth. Nothing against the lad but I've not shown an interest in him and, with the signings we`ve already made I don`t intend to.
'These rumours just aren't true.`
