RUFC - Green Pleased To Be Back In Training

Rotherham United new boy Paul Green says he is pleased to be back in pre-season training.

The thirty-one year old midfielder has been on International duty with the Republic of Ireland so, like Kari Arnason, started pre-season a week later than the rest of the squad but saying he was feeling 'good', Paul told the Official Site, 'I am really enjoying it, but there is plenty more hard work to put in before the start of the season.

'When I signed the Gaffer told me these were a good set of lads and he wasn't lying. They are a good group and there is a togetherness and spirit about the place.'

Knowing that there will be no easy games in the Championship, Paul carried on, 'On your day anyone can beat anyone else and I would expect the same this season. But we are well equipped and pre-season is going well. I'm sure we will surprise a few teams.'

The Millers are currently on a tour of Scotland where they won their first pre-season friendly against Morton and drew in a 'behind closed doors' game at Kilmarnock yesterday. Steve Evans' team has another two games before they leave with games against Falkirk and Queen of the South this weekend.
