'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Breaking Through

After an excellent display midweek against Huddersfield Town reserves Rotherham United manager Alan Knill is quoted in tonights Rotherham Star that some of the younger members of the squad are pushing for a first team start.
Of these the manager has singled out Stephen Brogan for a special mention after scoring for the reserves and also hitting the bar and having an all round excellent game.
Although never starting in the first team he has made three sub appearances but the manager is more than pleased with the contribution he makes to the team. The manager describes him as a aggressive type of player who likes to get his foot in where it hurts. Also it shouldn`t go without saying that another youngster called Mark Newsham must also be pushing for a call to the senior side after scoring regularly for the reserves.
All at Vital Rotherham wish Stephen and Mark all the best in their push for a first team place.

The position that the Reserves and Juniors are both in leave the future of our club looking very healthy indeed.
