Hursty Op

Rotherham stalwart Paul Hurst is set to be side-lined for at least a month after being booked in for a knee operation.

He was sent for a scan and was advised that an operation was necessary.

Manager, Alan Knill, told the Rotherham Star 'The knee has been affecting him all season, but typically Hursty battled on. He is that sort of a lad. We don`t know how long he will be out, we hope just a few weeks but we will have to wait and see.`

It is hoped that the operation will just be a 'clean-up` of the knee.

Hurst, who has made the second highest appearances in the clubs history, may now find it difficult to beat Danny Williams`s record of 492 cup and league appearances. At the moment he stands just 17 behind the record.
