'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Millers Chairman Interview

Rotherham United chairman, Denis Coleman told Radio Sheffield that Directors Dino Maccio and Alan Cartledge handed in their resignations on Thursday night. He said 'It had been talked about over the last few weeks but has happened quicker than we thought. It has been well publicised that Dino has had business problems and he will probably be sorting them out now. We have been talking with one or two people and will just have to see how it pans out over the next few weeks. There is no rush.` When asked what sort of people he would like he said 'Someone who could offer Rotherham United some time, do some good and perhaps have some money.`

Mr Coleman then went on to talk about young striker Will Hoskins. 'He was offered a further two years after the end of this year which we thought was a good contract - he told us what he wanted and we agreed to that. The indications were that he would sign and I am very disappointed he hasn`t.

'We have had a bid for him for over half a million pounds, but I`d rather not say who from at the moment. But it wasn`t good enough. The figure we are looking at is nearer a million. We will not let players just walk away from Millmoor for nothing. We want Will to stay at Millmoor.

'But, whatever will be will be and we will just get on with it.`
